Story
He used to be a successful architect. But after causing his wife’s death in a car accident, he voluntarily left society. Now he lives in a dilapidated house, avoiding contact with other people. He spends all his time locked in his workshop, building his conciliation cross - a metal sculpture welded from the car wreckage. The only people he is in contact with are the employees of the scrapyards and the regulars at the local, out-of-the-way pub, next to whom he gets drunk in the evenings.
But the bleak stereotype of his life dramatically changes when he finds a nameless girl at his place after one of his drinking sprees. She says she helped him home when he was drunk, yet she intransigently tries to settle in his place. Despite the initial opposition, he eventually yields to her insistence and agrees to her staying. For a while. But why did she decide to stay with him? How did she actually find him? And did she indeed come to him only because she had nowhere else to go?
